Celebrating Our Veteran Employees, the Backbone of Our Success

Our success is built on the dedication, hard work, and expertise of our employees, and we take this opportunity to acknowledge our veteran team members, who have been through our growth and evolution. We dedicate this page to celebrate their invaluable contributions, by recognising how their commitment has shaped our company into the trusted leader it is today. Some have left for new adventures and returned too.

Our veteran employees bring a wealth of experience to the table. Many have navigated the evolving landscape of waste management and happily share their knowledge with newer team

members. Their understanding of industry best practices and commitment to excellence have laid the groundwork for our operations and have played a key role in our continued success.

Not just experienced workers, they are also mentors who guide and inspire our newer team members. Their leadership shapes a culture of collaboration and teamwork, ensuring that knowledge and skills are passed down.

They also understand the importance of safety and sustainability in waste management. Their dedication to these principles has helped us implement effective practices that protect our team, our clients, and the environment. Their insight into operational safety and eco-friendly initiatives reinforces our commitment to responsible waste management.

The waste management industry is ever changing, and our veteran employees have shown remarkable adaptability in the face of new challenges. Whether it’s navigating regulatory changes or adopting new technologies, their problem solving skills and resilience are essential to our success. They inspire others to embrace change and view challenges as opportunities for growth.

The list is long, and some of our long standing employees includes Steve, who is part of our Administrative team, he has been with us since 1999. Paul, one of our seasoned front lift drivers, joined in 2005. Michael, from our Sales Department, has been contributing since 2010. Marcella, in the Accounts Receivable Department, came on board in 2012 and Shaun, one of our experienced mechanics, also joined us in 2012.

To all our long standing and new employees, we thank you all for your hard work, dedication and leadership at Speedie Waste & Recycle.
